This year marked the 91st annual steeplechase race benefiting the Somerset Medical Center Foundation. Since the 1950s, the race has raised nearly $18 million for the hospital, which named its cancer center Steeplechase Cancer Center in 2008, in recognition of the event. This year, nearly 40,000 people set up tailgating stations at Moorland Farm in Far Hills to eat, drink and watch the races.
